Li Dongying: Born on Dec. 14th, 1920 in Beijing. Being an academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineer and an expert on non-ferrous and rare metals. Engaged in separating rare metals and manufacturing semi-conductors from the 1950’s to 1960’s and working at development and application of rare earth and titanium element from the 1960’s to now.

Ni Jiazhan: Born in 1932 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. Being an academician of ChineseAcademy of Science and a chemist. Working on research of rare earth inorganic chemistry and mechanism of rare earths in human and animal bodies.

Zhang Guocheng: Born in 1931 in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Being an academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineering and an expert on metallurgy of rare metals. He invented “sintering intensification with vitriol—extraction method” for Baotou rare earth refining mineral and is researching new processes and equipments for separating rare earth all the time.

Yu Yongfu:Born on Sept. 30th, 1932 in Nanzhao, Henan Provice. Being an academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineering and an expert on mineral separation. Working at research on difficult separated red hematite, large type of mutil-metal paragenetic mineral and rare metal mineral processing.

Wei Shoukun:Born in September, 1907 in Tianjin. Being a metallurgist, metallurgical and physical chemist and metallurgical educationist. One of founders and exploiters for metallurgical and physical chemistry subject of China.

Wang Zhenxi:Born in September, 1942 in Haimen, Jiangsu Province. Being an academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineering and an expert on magnetic materials. Working at research of DyCo3.4 amorphous material, ReFeB with low Nd permanent material, etc.
